What Products Does Oprah Winfrey Use on Her Weave Hair Hairstyle?

The Oprah Winfrey Show has been a staple in many homes for over 20 years, and Oprah Winfrey hair extensions the talk show’s host has almost become synonymous with her unusual hairstyles. She’s worn her natural black hair in an array of styles, including cornrows, afros, and even dreadlocks. However, Oprah is a fan of wearing weaves, and her favorite wig maker is Sensational. Oprah Winfrey loves the brand so much that she even wears (or used to wear) its wigs and extensions on her talk show.

In the past, Oprah has been very vocal about how she feels wearing weaves and hair extensions can help women who feel insecure about wearing their natural hair. In an interview with Elle magazine, Oprah spoke about how it can be difficult for women to feel beautiful without having a certain hairstyle.

“I want every woman who is a cancer survivor or in remission to be able to have beautiful hair, whether it’s growing out of their head or a wig,” Oprah said.

“So that was my idea for my Locks of Love donation. I know women out there will feel better about themselves if they’re wearing a nice wig or a beautiful weave. Because, let’s face it, when your hair starts to come back, and you don’t like it, or it’s of a different texture, you don’t feel as good about yourself. And I would like every woman to walk out of her house feeling glamorous.”

Despite Oprah’s feelings about wearing weaves and extensions, her hairstyle is still a very popular look for women everywhere. Her natural hair care is often worn in an afro and even cornrows, so she’ll likely continue to experiment with her style.

We all know Oprah is a great role model for many things, but did you also realize she’s a hair expert? In 2012 O Magazine featured the famous TV personality with her locks. The article discusses how long celebrities’ hairs are and asks why people doubt black woman’s ability to achieve such high lengths.

In today’s society, where beauty standards often tend toward thinness or European features like blue eyes and fair skin—it may come as no surprise that some would question if African-American females can make their tresses look lush without using chemicals (which we know cause cancer). But even though there will always be those who dislike what they see in another person’s reflection regardless of race.

“I believe that’s because there haven’t been many women flaunting their natural hair for a long time, and Oprah’s hair is so thick and long that most people don’t believe it’s hers,” Nicole explains. “Many people are shocked by her broad hairline because many ladies who wear weaves and braids regularly have their edges damaged due to the continual stress and pulling.”

Most women, she believes, can reach their growth objectives with persistent maintenance.

Here are some of her suggestions:

– Grooming products. “I use Label M’s Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner, along with Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Curl Cream. Then, I go over it with a Label M Volumizing Dry Shampoo to give it volume and texture.”

– Styling tools. “I use a large paddle brush to pull it through when I’m styling my hair, and I also like T3’s Bespoke hairdryer and a medium-sized round brush while I’m blow-drying. And

when I’m done, I always use a shine spray.”

– Haircare. “I take good care of my hair to make sure it stays healthy and shiny.”

– Hair color. She also prefers to use all-natural, chemical-free hair products.

  • What she uses when she is wearing a weave. “My go-to weave hairstyle is the one I wore to my Weight Watchers event — it’s a custom lace front wig with a silk base closure, and Hair Tech makes it. My favorite thing about this style is that it looks completely natural, no matter how my hair falls. And the lace front makes it look very realistic.”
  • What she uses to wash her weave. “I don’t shampoo it very often because your hair under the weave doesn’t get any air, and over-shampooing will dry out the hair underneath.”
  • What she uses to condition her weave. “I use a leave-in conditioner to help with detangling, and I always brush it out with a paddle brush before I blow it out and style it.”
